I stopped giving to Oxfam (the President of just one Oxfam branch drew a quarter million dollars in salary from our donations in 2005) and started giving to Partners In Health instead. See charitynavigator.org
i think what this cause could really use is a late 20th century european rocker – preferably one with sunglasses – to champion its message. has this idea already been conside(red)?
last christmas I gave my immediate family one gift each and bought lots of live gifts from Ten Thousand villages, for family and friends.
I went to a bridal shower and put my gift in a recycled Ten Thousand Villages shopping bag.
-gets the message out
-very often buy gifts there as well.
