ENTRY GUIDELINES
Holy Moly Photo Contest

All entrants are eligible for a one-year subscription to Geez magazine (4 issues) or an extension to their currrent subscription. (If you don’t want the subscription, just let us know and we’ll set it aside for people in need who request financial assistance.)

Prizes:
First: $500 Second: $400 Third: $300
We’ll publish winners and a selection of runners-up in the Geez Summer ’08 issue.

Entry fee: $33 for up to three photos
This includes a one year subscription to Geez, or extension of your current subscription. Multiple submissions accepted – $15 for each additional entry (subscription applies only to first entry). Geez subscribers are eligible to enter for $15 (does not include a subscription extension).

Specs:
We print in black and white (unless we choose your photo for the cover). Dimensions of photos may vary. Digital alteration of photo content is not permitted, but manipulation of brightness, color, contrast, and perspective corrections, cropping, and removal of blemishes (dust, chemical stains, and dead pixels) is accepted. Please include a caption.

Deadline: March 31, 2008

How to enter:
1. Send photos and info
We want digital files (JPEGs/JPGs, 1 MB max., we’ll ask for hi res if we need it), and we’ll take prints too (but send copies we can keep). Include relevant caption information which we will use when we publish winners and others (see addresses below).

2. Include payment (three methods)
– pay online at geezmagazine.org/orders
– by check to “Geez magazine” (address above)
– by phone, call our office at (204) 772-9610, have credit card info handy

The magazine
Geez magazine is a quarterly magazine of spirited social action. With the tagline “Holy mischief in an age of fast faith,” Geez is aimed at over-churched, out-churched and even unchurchable souls on the North American fringes of faith. In it’s two years of existence it has been nominated for three Utne Independent Press Awards and won Magazine of the Year at Canada’s Western Magazine Awards.
