ENTRY GUIDELINES
The Daringly Awkward Sermon Contest

All entrants are eligible for a one-year subscription to Geez magazine (4 issues). Current subscribers are eligible for an extension to their subscription. (If you don’t want the subscription, just let us know and we’ll set it aside for people in need who request financial assistance. Enter as often as you feel led. Second and subsequent entries are $15 (with no subscription)

Prizes: Top three sermonizers receive $400 each
We’ll publish winners and a selection of others in Geez Spring 2009 issue.

Entry fee: $33
This includes a one year subscription to Geez, or extension of your current subscription. Multiple submissions accepted – $15 for each additional entry; subscription applies only to first entry. Geez subscribers are eligible to enter for $15 (does not include a subscription extension). Low income rates available upon request (see contact info below).

Deadline: February 28, 2009

How to enter:
1. Send sermon and bionote
Send your sermon entry (800 words max.) and a paragraph about yourself (judges won’t see this, but we need bio info on winners)

2. Include payment (three methods)
– pay online at geezmagazine.org/orders
– by check to “Geez magazine” (address below)
– by phone, call our office at (204) 942-1058, have credit card info handy

Notes:
1. Since we’ll receive many payments separate from entries we will send you an email to confirm we’ve received your entry and payment.

2. Only previously unpublished sermons are eligible. (If you already preached a sermon and want to enter it, that’s okay, just let us know when and where it was first delivered.)
