It seems older generations were concerned about ‘the reward they would get in heaven’ while younger generations don’t often think about heaven but instead they think about how they can see the kingdom of God here on earth now. It is a ‘both and’ scenario. That is why younger generations have a larger concern about how the Christian faith outworks itself in this world rather than just the moral issues that older generations tend to focus on (the moral police).
