I don’t have much to add to this debate, as I tend to avoid it rather than participate. But I did witness an interesting interveiw on The Daily Show (July 8, 2010), where author Marilynne Robinson was promoting her new book, Absence of Mind. It’s an interesting idea, the notion that pitting science against religion doesn’t make much sense, since the purest form of both is the pursuit of answers.
